Your tile guy, cabinet installer, and electrician each get their own secure portal with an iCal feed they can subscribe to from any calendar app. They see only what they need. They stay in sync automatically. You stop sending group texts that get lost by Friday.
Unlimited trade partners. Dedicated portal per trade. iCal feed per trade. Each trade only sees the details that matter to them — their schedule, their POs, their scope. Included in flat $199/mo.
Calls it "dispatch." Each crew member is a seat. Plus tier runs $599/mo for 15 users. No sub-facing portal with iCal.
Subs can be added to schedules but lack a dedicated portal. No iCal subscribe. Sub-specific views are thin.
Joist is invoice-first. Beam is finance-first. Neither treats trade partner coordination as a product area.
No training required. No app to download. Your trades can be using this by end of day.
Add a trade partner to an appointment in MY LAURA. Scope notes, start time, duration, address — all attached automatically.
Your tile guy gets an SMS with a secure link to his portal. No password. One tap, and he's looking at his assignments.
One-tap subscribe button. From now on, every appointment you assign to him shows up in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook — automatically.
Reschedule in MY LAURA, and his calendar updates within the hour. Need to force a resend? One click on the appointment card.
Your tile guy sees his appointments, the scope notes for his day, the address, and any POs issued to his company. He doesn't see other trades' schedules, estimate totals, client contact info, or your books. Clean, focused, nothing irrelevant.
Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, Fantastical, BusyCal — anything that speaks iCal. One-time subscribe, automatic sync for life. No "please download our app" conversation.
Someone's not showing up? Click the resend icon on the appointment card in MY LAURA. A fresh SMS goes out with the link, the time, and the address. A2P-compliant, opt-out compliant, logged automatically.
A single appointment can have the cabinet installer, the electrician, and the countertop measurer all assigned. Each one gets their own SMS notification with the time, address, and scope. Everyone on the appointment sees the same scope note — if you need to give different instructions to different trades, the cleaner pattern is to book separate appointments on the same day.
Got a trade partner whose employee needs to get the text but shouldn't see POs or pricing? Add the employee as their own trade with just a phone number, attach them to the relevant appointments, and they'll only see those appointments in their own portal — nothing about your POs or the parent trade partner's financials.
MY LAURA publishes a standards-compliant iCalendar feed per trade partner. Any app that speaks RFC 5545 can consume it. No vendor lock-in, no proprietary format, no "download our app." This is the entire point.
