Invoices & Payments: send, accept, reconcile.

Invoicing should be the easiest part of running a remodeling business. Somehow it always turns into an all-day Friday job of chasing approvals, reconciling change orders, and waiting on wire transfers. MY LAURA's invoicing is designed to make Friday boring again.

YOUR STRIPE

Your account, your rate

Clients pay through Stripe using your own connected account. No platform markup, no held funds, no middleman.

PHASED BILLING

Draw schedules that make sense

Convert an estimate into multiple phased invoices. Deposit on approval, progress draws, final balance at completion.

REMINDERS

Automatic follow-ups

Overdue invoices get automated, polite reminders on a schedule you control. No more uncomfortable collection calls.

From estimate to paid, end to end.

Convert from estimate, in phases if needed.

Approved estimates become invoices in one click. If you want to bill the whole thing, that's one invoice. If you want to draw against it in phases — deposit, rough-in, drywall, finish — you open the Convert to Invoice dialog, check the line items for this draw, and MY LAURA creates the partial invoice with the "Partially Invoiced" status on the source estimate. No double-billing, no tracking spreadsheets.

Apply change orders.

Signed change orders apply to existing invoices in two clicks. Open the invoice, click Apply Change Order, check the line items you want to include, done. Full traceability back to the original signed document. See change orders →

Send and get paid online.

Email and SMS delivery with customizable templates. The client opens the invoice in their portal and pays with a credit card, ACH, or Apple Pay through Stripe — your Stripe, processing at your rate, deposits to your bank account. No platform markup. No "Beam Card" or fintech upsell. Just your Stripe.

The back office side.

QuickBooks Online sync.

Invoices sync from MY LAURA to QuickBooks the moment they're created or updated, and payments you record against a MY LAURA invoice flow to QuickBooks the same way — so QBO stays accurate without anyone re-entering numbers. Two-way sync is reserved for items and vendors/trade partners: if they already exist in your QuickBooks file, you can pull them into MY LAURA so you don't have to rebuild your item list or contacts during setup. Your bookkeeper sees everything in QBO and doesn't need to touch MY LAURA — but they can if you want them to, with bookkeeper access. If a sync fails, you see exactly which record failed and why in the visible sync log.

Accounts receivable aging.

The AR report groups outstanding invoices by age — current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, 90+. Click any aging bucket to see which clients are behind. No surprise at month-end about what you're owed.

Automated payment reminders.

Set a reminder schedule — e.g., 3 days before due, on due date, 7 days overdue, 14 days overdue. MY LAURA sends the reminders automatically with your branded templates. When you finally need to have "the conversation," it's because the automated reminders already covered the polite first five.
